Hi and welcome to the event of the year in the telecommunications industy. Barcelona is awash with Mobile World Congress activity, starting at the airport where I was greeted today firstly by a staggering taxi queue and then secondly by a very welcome 30 minute shuttle service directly to the venue.
Construction here at the exhibition centre started 3 weeks ago and over that time the empty halls have been transformed into a telecommunications village of almost epic proportions. Here are a few examples of how this looked just 2 days ago:
The weather here is fantastic – especially if you have just come from Helsinki! Fantastic sunny days and brisk evenings.
Over the next few days my colleagues and I will bring you a series of articles that will hopefully help convey a small part of the experience of this epic. Of course we will also have the webcams on site as well as a photoblog stream in Flickr to help with this 🙂
