This year’s OFC event in Los Angeles was the busiest it’s ever been. At our Mobile Optical Lab on the show floor, we hosted many customer and press/analyst briefings, which included tours of the lab (view photos).
Several of our experts also made presentations and participated in panel discussions covering key issues in optical technology.
It was also interesting to listen to industry gurus discuss the future of optical transport, trends that are up and coming, what lies beyond 100G and what we should expect in the coming year or so from optical technology.
We also made a number of announcements at the show:
– We worked with Juniper Networks on a 100G interoperability trial in Munich. The 100G line cards were demoed at our booth at OFC.
– Our customer, Caribbean telecom service provider United Telecommunications Services (UTS), announced that it is offering improved data services using upgraded 40G technology powered by our equipment and services.
– Our FlexiGrid technology enables 400G optical transport , addressing operators’ increasing demand for bandwidth.
– Submarine cable network players can now achieve a ten-fold increase over the original design capacity of their cables, thanks to the successful testing of our SLTE solution recording 100 Gigabit per second speed in DWDM transmission over 4000 kilometers.
Thank you to those who were able to visit our booth at OFC. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
