CTIA Wireless 2011 was as exciting as ever, giving us a chance to showcase new developments and solutions – all geared to help our North American carrier customers address critical business challenges and ensure continued value add for their end users.
Here are a few highlights from the event:
We launched Liquid Radio, our new architecture for mobile networks that directs broadband capacity according to user demand. This gives operators the flexibility they need in order to meet challenging traffic demands and direct resources to where they are needed most.
We also announced our new, in-house developed FlexiPacket Microwave platform for the North America market. The platform includes programmable software to provide operations for both hybrid and full packet traffic mode.
At our booth, we demonstrated an HSPA+ data call with peak throughput of over 200 megabits per second (Mbps). The data call was conducted using our commercial Flexi Multiradio Base Station and Multicontroller platform, once again proving the feasibility of improved HSPA+ speed and capacity.
The busy week ended with our Smart WLAN Connectivity and Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station receiving honors at the 2011 CTIA E-Tech Awards in the Wide Area Network category. Both products are key building blocks for Liquid Radio.
