Nokia Siemens Networks is coming to AfricaCom 2011, held at the Cape Town Convention Center on 9 & 10 November, in an innovative way. This year, instead of being present on the exhibition floor, we’ve moved to a separate area, called the ‘Liquid Oasis’, right opposite exhibition hall 2 and close to the registration area on the ground floor.
Our main theme is ‘Internet for Every African’ and this is exactly why we are in the African continent – to deliver connectivity to every African on the continent.
To explain how Nokia Siemens Networks can help accomplish this vision, Ranjith Cherickel, Head of Global Services Sales for the Africa Region, will be speaking about connecting the rural areas of Africa on the 10th of November at 12.20 pm.
Additionally, our Head of Technology for the Africa Region, Karri Kuoppamaki, will give his views and opinions on improving broadband access as part of a panel discussion on the 10th of November at 2.10 pm.
Visitors to our ‘Liquid Oasis’ area can also hear about the latest innovation that is powered by Nokia Siemens Networks – Liquid Net: the future of mobile broadband. You will not only hear about it, but you can also see a live demonstration of its capabilities. I promise you – it’s not something you’ll want to miss.
For attending journalists, we have a separate media session with Karri Kuoppamaki to discuss the capabilities of Liquid Net, which will be followed by a personal and vivid demonstration of this concept. Visit us at the Liquid Oasis on the 9th of November at 9 am and you will be accompanied to our media conference room.
