Nokia Siemens Networks has won the first place in Tele.Síntese Magazine Innovation in Communications in Brazil for its Flexi Multiradio.
This is a major accomplishment in which Nokia Siemens Networks was considered the vendor of the most innovative solution with our Flexi Multiradio, in a much disputed competition that saw, among others, Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent sharing the runner-up second place. 160 projects by 107 companies were submitted in total.
This prestigious recognition is bestowed upon products that follow rigorous criteria. Apart from a marked differentiating factor regarding common market practices, the product had to either be revolutionary or an outstanding improvement over a known design.
And to make it to the top and be considered truly innovative, the product had to also meet the following requirements, as perceived by the proponents:
1) Ability to increase productivity
2) Ability to increase revenues
3) Ability to increase Market Share
4) Ability to reduce costs
5) Ability to allow the company to explore new market opportunities.
Nokia Siemens Networks’ Flexi Multiradio 10 base station utilizes only one control module to serve three band and helps operators to optimize their spectrum usage, while, at the same time offering up to 30% of capacity.
The sheer power of this product has been repeatedly demonstrated in live applications and also in lab tests, where it has reached impressive throughput speeds of up to 1,7 Gb per second in TD-LTE.
