2013 was a year of positive and fundamental changes for NSN – and it has been truly exciting to share our stories on Twitter and other social media channels with all of you. In addition to the official company account named @NSNtweets, many of us at NSN use personal handles to tweet about the success stories and, naturally, promote our innovative products and research. But most importantly, we have fun on the way!
Let’s take a look at some of the memorable moments during the year – a glimpse to the variety of content we share on Twitter, and to some of the many comments that made us smile.
On August 7, we took the world by surprise and changed our company name to NSN. We received many positive comments on Twitter during the following days:
Later in August, we wanted to put our employees on stage and started our warm-hearted “Meet our people” campaign. Iris Heinonen, our head of marketing and communications for Europe & Latin America, had the honor of going first:
The next big step in our transformation came in September, when Nokia announced that it was going to sell its Devices & Services unit to Microsoft. See what NSN’s CEO Rajeev Suri and Nokia’s interim CEO Risto Siilasmaa had to say on this topic:
A few weeks later, we had fun in Paris – city of Light, Love and LTE – with our 4G customer SFR. See the picture of live HD transmission from NSN Segway at the heart of the city:
It was great to see our CEO Rajeev Suri receive recognition for his visionary leadership from Global Telecoms Business:
In October, it was time for industry analyst days in Singapore with our Leslie Shannon, the “secret weapon”. She is widely appreciated as a speaker – and a lovely colleague!
We released several White Papers in 2013 – and were happy to notice that they found their way to the hands of interested readers:
What are technology companies made of? Innovative products that help customers achieve their targets. We are proud of the simple beauty of our Flexi Zone LTE microcell/picocell base stations introduced in October:
Nothing beats a nice celebration. We had more reason to party when NSN won the Aegis Graham Bell Award for innovative Managed Services. Congratulations to the team!
Webinars are a great channel for sharing best practices and innovative ideas. In addition to our #1GBperday$ series now available on-demand, we had expert speakers also in other webinars:
In December, industry analysts gathered in Boston to hear from NSN – and we got to be proud of the amount of analyst coverage and positive comments circulating in the Twitterverse!
NSN’s Technology Vision 2020 was in the news when European Commission signed a contract with 5G PPP Association for a new 5G Infrastructure Public-Private Partnership. Dr. Werner Mohr from NSN will chair the association.
Finally, fireworks marked the turn of the year in our blog:
I would like to thank our followers for interesting conversations, questions and support. For #mobilebroadband news and much more to come in 2014 and beyond, I warmly welcome everyone to join the conversation with @NSNtweets on Twitter!
