Liquid Broadband is all about creating additional value from mobile networks, specifically about making money from content delivery. It takes a holistic approach to content delivery, going beyond video and addressing the management of OTT applications and the evolution of traditional voice services. In other words, there’s a lot to talk about.
In case you missed NSN’s recent webinar on how liquid broadband can “Change the game in content delivery”, you can tune in here. The webinar addresses how capacity growth is linked to rising mobile broadband demand and the ever increasing popularity of services from over-the-top (OTT) players that rely on operator networks to deliver their content. The main challenge being that this growth is not reflected in operator revenues and traditional revenue sources (e.g. voice & data) are increasingly hard to defend.
This webinar focuses on recent launches at Mobile World Congress 2014, and highlights the operator benefits of NSN’s extended Liquid Broadband offering, in particular efficient delivery of content over their mobile networks. Topic experts Rob McManus and Andy Burrell introduce the following new solutions now available for:
• Liquid Applications -> a set of new use-cases that enhance user experience and provide new revenue opportunities from enterprise and verticals, such as mobile edge video analytics
• Video and OTT content delivery -> new services for OTT management to help operators improve OTT content delivery and support strategy decisions ie. whether to partner with an OTT player, or differentiate by launching new services
• Voice services delivery -> cloud-based IMS that provides scalability and flexibility for voice in LTE networks. VoLTE helps save spectrum and network resources, while improving the quality of the service with HD voice and multimedia communications
