“Managed services are a very, very important part of our business,” says Benoit Hanssen, Chief Technology Officer for Vodafone Australia (VHA), underlining how vital the relationship is between his company and Nokia Networks.
This relationship has been growing and strengthening for almost a decade following the signing of the first managed services deal between the companies. Both Nokia and VHA have worked together to transform governance and communication processes, provide a much better experience for their end-users, and build a stronger relationship between both partners.
Speaking in a new video, Benoit emphasized how Nokia Networks’ Managed Services help the company achieve what it needs for its subscribers: “It ensures that network stability is maintained. It ensures that the services we provide to our customers are available and that the network is performing well.”
“A lot of our customers use smartphones and have applications that require a lot of data to be transmitted throughout the network. So a big focus of what we do is to actually allow those services to come through the network.”
Benoit also emphasised how the delivery of managed services was transferred smoothly to the Nokia Networks global delivery center in India. “Nokia has handled that without any interruption to our business.”
Increasingly making use of automation for repetitive tasks, Nokia Networks is working on how it can help Vodafone avoid outages on its network.
Stephen McFeeley, managing director for Australia/New Zealand at Nokia Networks, stressed the partnership aspects of the work with Vodafone: “It’s about the maturity of the relationship we have with the customer. We look at things jointly, we make investment decisions jointly, and we look to share in the improvements of any investments we make.” Not unlike a marriage of equals if you ask us…
In fact, the video stresses that the relationship is one of mutual benefit and true partnership, where both companies use their experiences together to improve their operations and what they offer.
