OK, so Sweden may have won more ice hockey world championships than Finland. But that doesn’t give Swedish companies the right to claim leadership and industry firsts when they don’t really have them.
Case in point: Ericsson recently claimed an “industry first” for FDD/TDD carrier aggregation using commercial hardware and software. I have to say, not so fast my friends! Nokia already did that in early September, and had demonstrated the world’s first TDD/FDD carrier aggregation back in early 2014.
It’s easy to claim being first, but that doesn’t mean you always are. It makes me look forward to the next hockey match!
