Season’s greetings, dear readers! As 2014 draws to a close, we often wonder which blogs and topics have resonated most with you during the year. At the same time, we take this opportunity to look ahead and assess new ways of adding that extra ‘spark’ to keep you captivated and informed.
As you may have noticed, we take blogging seriously – or rather, we try to have fun with our seriously conservative business. Through Nokia’s blog for a world in motion, we add the human touch to technology, while also providing a window to who we are as a company.
And what better way to engage with you one-on-one!? We’re very happy to see that readership continues to grow steadily year-on-year – and together, we determine what’s hot and what’s not.
So, without further ado, here are our 10 most read blogs of 2014:
There was, and still is, a lot of buzz circulating around our reinvented Nokia and brand as discussed in this year’s most popular blog. Author Barry French, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Nokia, reminded readers that,
“We may not be the same Nokia of several years ago, but we are here, we are strong, and our brand is very much still alive. Not to mention kicking!”
Readers were also quick to tune in to blogs from Nokia Smart Labs, which use testing methods based on real user behavior to analyze the interaction of smart devices, OTT applications and mobile networks. Voice over LTE and Voice over Wifi were top of mind given the appearance of native support in handsets like the iPhone6.
Thought leadership topics such as 5G and innovating with new Nokia partners also grabbed your attention. We aim to cut through the hype on 5G and keep you up to speed on the latest milestones and roadmaps. Through our partnering blogs, we’re spreading the good news that we’ve opened doors to exciting new partnerships that allow us to offer the kind of end-to-end solutions that operators ask for.
So, on behalf of the Nokia blog team, thank you for your interest this year! We will continue to drive these topics and take cues from you and the industry’s latest news and views.
